The sartorial dishonour of a snowman embellished jumper is surpassed only by the shame of being labelled a?Scrooge?on Christmas jumper day. However, there are ways that you can still hop aboard the fun bus without falling foul of festive colleagues.

For her debut solo collection Tolu Coker took us back to her motherland. The collection was a celebration of African spirituality featuring feminine cuts and tailoring staples that felt like a breath of fresh air following the?quiet luxury?mood of?last season.

As Karl Lagerfeld once observed of Jeanne Lanvin: ?Her image wasn?t as strong as that of Chanel because she was a nice old lady and not a fashion plate.? That enigmatic quality freed the house?s team to shape a tight collection that was rooted in 1920s style despite it being a period when Lanvin?s most contemporaneously revered volumes were themselves slightly out of time. There was some highly impressive chain and pearl detailing that created a wonderful opalescence on fringe-edged or pleat-fronted and cuffed dresses. And there were hints of the medieval (a Lanvin 1.0 motif) in cross-laced and keyhole heart necklines. In the look book, but not on show at the presentation, was a concession to that volume in hotly colored tailoring.

Granada Sound?is back for another edition. The festival, which takes place in southern Spain,?will play host to artists such as Vetusta Morla, Amaia, Viva Suecia and Iv?n Ferreiro for a two-day event spanning pop to rock via indie, electronic and more downtempo sounds. Ladilla Rusa and indie pop band La Casa Azul have also been announced for the festival, which is celebrating its 11th edition in 2023.

Earlier this year, Positive Education?announced a new venue for 2023: the Halle ?ph?m?re, which will host its daytime activities. Now, the long-running festival is announcing a programme of talks and workshops set to take place at the venue for this year?s event. Topics up for discussion are the current and future challenges faced by music labels, featuring the likes of Anetha, and?Big Dada?label manager Victoria Cappelletti.
